Chile Mine Pipe
PipeMedic® by QuakeWrap FRP repair system used on an underground pipeline in Chile to stop costly and damaging leaks. As step 1, the leaks on the host pipe were stopped by using clamps and grout seal, and then the defective area was wrapped with a CFRP system with QuakeWrap’s hydrophobic resin that can cure in water. The CFRP system designed was detailed to wrap over the 9 clamps with bolts that are at least three inches long along the repaired pipe segment.
